The Rhino Charge Raffle was introduced in 2002 as a tool to assist Rhino Charge entrants with their fund-raising and to thank competitor sponsors for their support. One ticket represents KShs. 2,000 worth of sponsorship and teams issue the tickets to sponsors in return for the amount given.

Each entrant is issued with enough raffle tickets to cover their initial pledge to the Rhino Charge - if they raise more money they are entitled to the equivalent number of raffle tickets more. Every sponsor is entitled to one ticket per 2,000/- of sponsorship and it is the responsibility of the entrant who receives the sponsorship to issue the correct number of raffle tickets to his sponsor.

It is our way of trying to give something back and to say “thank-you” to those who have so faithfully, wholeheartedly and patiently supported the project since its inception in 1989.

Our thanks also go out to those who have also patiently and generously supported the actual raffle, cheerfully offering us prizes every year.
