| Quattro Charge held on Sunday 29th August 2010 at the Lukenya Hills saw Ian Duncan emerge the winner ahead of 28 entrants of which 16 were Rhino Chargers. Rhino Chargers Mahesh Bhatti and Gurmeet Mehta came in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
The total net of cost raised was Kshs 1,060,000. Rob Collinge, former three time winner of Rhino Charge and organizer of Quattro Charge announced that 16 Rhino Charge 2011 entrants competed and the Kshs 1.06million kitty would go towards their respective fund raise pledges for 2011.Winner, Ian Duncan(Car 2) received Kshs 130,000, Mahesh Bhatti (Car 7) and Gurmeet Mehta (Car 3) each received Kshs 80,000 and Kshs 70,000 respectively. The remaining 13 received Kshs 60,000 each. Attached is the list of Rhino Charge entrants and their donation.
Over 1500 jubilant spectators turned up at the venue to cheer the drivers as they maneuvered through the rough terrain.
Rhino Ark Chairman Colin Church attended and thanked Rob Collinge and his team of volunteers for their “greatly appreciated” support.
The next Quattro Charge will be held on Sunday 27th February 2011. |
